The brief

The Paper Theater Studio, based in Concord, makes video, photography, and stop-motion work for national retail brands. Like a lot of production studios, its own web presence came last. It needed a portfolio site that looked like the work, and it needed to rank locally when someone searches for a production studio.

How we approached it

We started with detailed collaboration and developed a strategic decision: anchor the site on projects, not skill lists, because the work itself is the argument. From kickoff in April to launch on June 5th, we designed and built a site with the kind of playful, interactive touches a creative studio's site should have — including their own stop-motion work woven in — on a foundation tuned for local search and AI answer engines.

It stayed collaborative the whole way through. The studio picked the featured work, we handled everything else, and the project landed on the budget we agreed to at the start.

Where it stands today

The studio's verdict on launch day: "We are so pleased with the look and vibe. Already sharing out." Within three weeks, the site had drawn unsolicited praise from another local marketing team, which turned into a brand-new inquiry. That's what a portfolio is for.
